When applying for a UK study visa, some students will have a credibility interview. This is so UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) can be sure that you are a genuine student.

During the interview, you will also be asked about your chosen pathway course. It is important that you become familiar with the relevant course structure and module information, which you can find below.

| Programme Content | The Pre-Doctorate contains 3 core modules: - Research Proposal Design: develop a research topic, understand data collection methods and plan a viable proposal for your doctorate - The Doctoral Candidate: explore the key skills required for doctoral study, learn what makes a successful application and consider your future career - Academic Skills and Communication: become familiar with key terminology, develop your written and spoken critical thinking and understand your subject specialism |

In addition to class contact time, you will have meetings with teachers to support your learning, improve your research skills and help you prepare for your doctoral application and interview. |
| Progressing to university | Once you have successfully completed your Pre-Doctorate, you are guaranteed an interview with a potential supervisor from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Nottingham. Any requirements for your degree choice will be detailed on your offer letter. |
