One of the best decisions I made during college was to join the International Living Community in TU's student residences. American students live with international students, and through this they have amazing opportunities to experience different cultures. If you’re hoping to learn a new language, this is the place to do it since nearly every major language is represented!

Frequently Asked Questions about TU accommodations

  • Am I guaranteed accommodations?

Yes, all students are guaranteed on-campus accommodations. After submitting a housing application, you will be notified on your placement by email. Housing is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • When can I apply for accommodations?

For each intake, housing applications are accepted from several months prior to the term start date. You can apply before you have accepted your offer.

  • Is on-campus accommodation compulsory?

Yes. All students are required to live in on-campus housing for a minimum of 4 semesters.

If you are studying in the Intensive English Program (IEP), you have the option not to live on-campus. If you decide to live on-campus during IEP, that time will count toward your 4-semester minimum.

Living on campus offers many benefits, including convenience, comfort and social opportunities.

  • What kinds of accommodations are available?

Most accommodations are double rooms, which is typical for American university residences. Some single rooms are available. Same-gender options are also available for both men and women.
