  • Anisa Haghdadi (UK)

    Graduated from Aston University

    Earned a BSc in Business and Management in 2012.

    Lifetime achievements

    British entrepreneur, founder, and CEO of Beatfreeks, a social enterprise which aims to help young people develop transferable skills and empower them to create change on a personal, community, and global level.
    Haghdadi was awarded the British Empire Medal in 2014 for services to education and young people.

  • Anthony Cheung (Hong Kong SAR)

    Graduated from Aston University

    Earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Public Sector Management in 1984.

    Lifetime achievements

    A Hong Kong politician and academic, Cheung held the position of Secretary for Transport and Housing from 2012 to 2017 and became the 5th President of the Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd).

  • Dr Ravi Kant (India)

    Graduated from Aston University

    Earned an MSc in Industrial Metallurgy Management Techniques in 1970 and an Honorary DSc in 2008.

    Lifetime achievements

    The CEO and Managing Director and later the Vice Chairman of Tata Motors Ltd., South Asia’s largest automobile manufacturing company which is part of the TATA Group, India’s largest multinational conglomerate. He has held positions such as Chairman and Director of several automotive companies including Jaguar Land Rover and Voltas.

  • Euan Sutherland (UK)

    Graduated from Aston University

    Earned a BSc (1st class) in Managerial and Administrative Studies in 1993.

    Lifetime achievements

    CEO of SuperGroup, a British clothing company and owner of the Superdry label. Prior to this, Sutherland was the CEO of the Co-operative Group, where his most notable achievement was saving the Co-op Bank from falling into administration without recourse to the taxpayer.

  • Eva Eisenschimmel (UK)

    Graduated from Aston University

    Earned a Joint Honours degree in Business and French in 1984.

    Lifetime achievements

    The Chief of Staff at international financial management company Lowell, she has also held leadership positions at Lloyd’s Banking Group, EDF Energy, British Airways, and Häagen-Dazs.

  • Lucas Chow (Hong Kong SAR)

    Graduated from Aston University

    Earned a degree in Production Technology and Management in 1978.

    Lifetime achievements

    Previously the Head of Printer Division for the Hewlett-Packard company in Singapore, Chow has subsequently held Chief Executive positions at SingTel Mobile, MediaCorp and Far East Orchard. He is currently the Chairman of the Health Promotion Board and a member of the Board of Trustees of the National University of Singapore. He also became a recipient of the Singapore National Day Public Service Medal in 2015.

  • Simon D'Ujanga (Uganda)

    Graduated from Aston University

    Earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical Engineering.

    Lifetime achievements

    A Ugandan electrical engineer and politician, D’Ujanga has held the position of State Minister for Energy in the Ugandan Cabinet since 2006. He currently belongs to the National Resistance Movement political party.

  • Sultan Choudhury (UK)

    Graduated from Aston University

    Earned a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with distinction in 2002.

    Lifetime achievements

    Sultan Choudhury is CEO and Director at Al Rayan Bank PLC, formerly known as the Islamic Bank of Britain (IBB). He led the development and implementation of its full product range and service delivery channels.

  • Tony Hayward (UK)

    Graduated from Aston University

    Earned a first-class honours degree in Geology in 1978.

    Lifetime achievements

    The former CEO of British Petroleum (BP) one of the world’s largest corporations. His current roles include CEO of Genel Energy, the largest oil producer in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and Chairman of Glencore, a FTSE 100 commodities giant.
