Kaplan helped me to prepare everything before I came to the UK. I received support with my visa and they sent me the things I needed to enrol. Their support staff also assisted me with my arrival, and they checked whether I needed transportation to my accommodation. They were really helpful!

The Student Services team organise lots of fun activities. I went to a boat party and the Eid celebration – I don’t actually celebrate it but I still got to go, and there was great food! I’ve also done Zumba, and I took part in a dance competition against other residences, which we won!

Pre-arrival support

You’ll be supported every step of the way when you enrol at Bournemouth University International College – starting before you even set foot in the UK. You’ll receive a pre-arrival guide, and help with the visa process. The student services team will be ready to answer any questions you might have, no matter how big or small.

At the airport

When you land at the airport in the UK, the College’s student services team can arrange to pick you up and take you to your accommodation. They will make sure you are given a warm welcome to your new home.

Once you have accepted your offer to study with us, you can book your airport transfers by filling in the form in the pre-arrival area.

Welcome Week

In your first week, before your classes start, the staff will help you settle in and do everything possible to make you feel comfortable. You’ll meet your teachers, find out more about your course, and tour the University facilities that you can use. You will also receive help with things such as setting up a bank account and registering with a doctor. Pre-Sessional English students will receive a 1-day induction to cover the same important information.

Social activities

During your time at the College, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to make new friends, and there will be numerous social activities to help you get to know your fellow students. Activities might include a sunset party cruise, a weekend in London, a games night, salsa classes or a visit to Stonehenge.
